Hound Capital is a Texas-based investor in smaller middle market private companies. Our principals have invested over $1.4 billion in 50 private transactions across the globe. We generally partner with our investor network who control over $1.0 billion of committed capital to consummate investments. This network provides us flexibility in the amount of capital we can bring into a transaction and allows us flexibility to participate in both control and minority situations. Hound offers a flexible investment approach and seeks to accommodate our partners’ and counterparties’ wishes through a collaborative process.

Investment Types
We like to be flexible depending on the situation and would be happy to discuss a recapitalization, majority buyout, management-led buyout, or growth equity round to help you achieve your business and planning objectives.
Investment Size
We have the ability to invest up to $25 million of equity into an individual company, but can leverage our networks to size up if appropriate.
Financial Profile
We typically invest in businesses with a history of positive revenue growth, with strong gross margins that are cash flow positive. Typically, we target 10%+ historical CAGRs for topline growth.
Management
We welcome partnering with existing management to continue to build world-class businesses but are flexible in providing exit options to those teams that would like to move on from their current involvement.
